Teaching, Learning, and My Financial Support

Hi guys, I’m gonna tell u about my experiences in teaching junior high school student and elementary student. Oh kindergarten either. 

Well, I’ve been teaching my kindergarten student for almost 18 month (1,5 years).  The first reason was I need some activity to spend my everyday life besides my college life. So I accepted the offer without deep consideration. Yes, I was going to teach a kindergarten student. She is girl actually. Hehe

Her mother said that I should make her able to spelling word and then reading and writing alphabet. That challenged me so bad.  But time flies. Then I passed the challenges. Now she’s able to writing and reading. Instead, she is eager to reading book and writing her own interest. 

Second, on March 2015, my friend -Duwi- offered me to teach an elementary school –grade 6^th (Yes, she was gonna  take final test in several month later). I took her offer immediately. The reasons were: 1) my friend –Duwi- told me that there was no teacher anymore soothe student need me. Thus I thought: okay. 2)this was a chance for increasing my financial support hehe besides my kindergarten student. I should've taken it. 

3 month passed by, my second student and I were accustomed with one another. Then my second student said that she wanted to remain have the course with me. Okay then I accepted her offer. Becos I didn’t have any reason to rejecting. Until now, it almost 13 month, she is still my student.

I’m happy when teaching her becos not only she who learning but also me as well. She learns from me as possible as I learn from her.  We often discuss the idea which ain’t relevant to the subject in school. But that is interesting and brainstorming. It’s also one of my ways to overcome the boring-time when teaching subject, especially math hehe.

Then, on August 2015 God gave me a chance again to improve my experience and spend my time wisely. I was offered to teaching my first-student’s sister. Haha, she is student in 9^th grade actually.  The thing that I feel overwhelmed is when she told me that she got a good mark for science subject.  Besides, now, she is very interested with physics. Me, as a soon-to-be physics teacher, think that all this effort are worth it. Alhamdulillah

Well then, on October 2015 I was offered the job again. I was offered to teaching the English class which was firstly handled by a teacher but she wasn’t able to teach anymore. The English class is for elementary student. So, I got challenge which is teaching within class. I then accepted the incredible offer. Once more, this was a chance.

Well, in the first time I felt somewhat awkward with my new students. I thought they were so noisy and hard to be handled.  But time flies and I am so happy for teaching them. They are very nice boys actually. For the last 2 weeks I have never been teaching them becos my activity in college which forcing me to made it done. 

I feel blessed wif all of the chance till now. I faced many students who have their own characters. Without my awareness in the first place, I now realize that I love teaching and motivating.
